    Michael first moved to Vancouver in 2006 with 15 years of group benefits experience under his belt. He found that most clients and their brokers in BC had a “relationship based” connection and most clients did not understand the pricing of their group benefits at all. The same could be said about advisors who mostly rely on marketing their clients’ plans every year.

    After witnessing the poor level of effort given by BC advisors, he has made it his mission to provide better service, educate his clients, and demonstrate the difference in competency.

    Based on what he has seen, Michael believes all clients deserve a better level of service - personality and relationship should be a bonus, not the basis of business.

    JM has been recruiting advisors who are the best in the field - experienced, knowledgeable, honest, and with the proper work ethic and integrity.

    Our goal is to educate clients that they have the right to demand transparency from both the insurer and the advisor to show them if the renewal is fair.

  • Moving Forward

    The process has been gruelling as most group clients and their advisors are still acting in the manner they are accustomed to, same as Day 1.

    We consider ourselves to be in the top percentile of brokers when it comes to expertise. Our practice is to be fully transparent and make sure our clients understand the renewal process as much as possible.

    JM’s goal remains unchanged: to educate new clients one at a time, to provide transparent and excellent timely service, and to negotiate with insurers for renewal rates that are fair.
